Terms and Conditions

By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to the following terms:

1. Professional Services

Cornerstone Mediation provides alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services. Information on this website does not constitute legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship.

2. The Mediation Process

  • Voluntary Participation: Mediation is voluntary. Any party or the mediator may withdraw from the process at any time.
  • Neutrality: The mediator is a neutral facilitator and does not act as a judge, arbitrator, or legal representative for any party.
  • Legal Representation: Parties are encouraged to seek independent legal advice before signing any binding Settlement Agreement.

3. Fees and Payments

  • Fees are charged as per the current tariff provided during the intake process.
  • Unless otherwise agreed in writing, parties are jointly and severally liable for the mediation fees, usually shared equally.
  • Cancellations made within [e.g., 24 or 48 hours] of a scheduled session may incur a cancellation fee.

4. Limitation of Liability

While we strive to facilitate a resolution, Cornerstone Mediation does not guarantee that a settlement will be reached. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from the parties’ failure to reach an agreement or for any legal consequences arising from an executed Settlement Agreement.
